Over the last week or so, Charlie became much more wiggly and mobile on the floor.  She’s been rolling around and doing little scooting movements forwards, sideways and backwards.  She’s also been practicing rocking up on her hands and knees…even at night when she, and Mama, are supposed to be sleeping.  So today, I put her on the floor and she started scooting herself toward this pink ball she has…only it took on a much faster, more efficiently and much more earnest character.  I thought to myself, “she’s really moving!” Sure, it was an army crawl, but she managed to get herself all the way off the rug and onto the hardwood, and then was scooting along the hardwood.  So I got the camera that takes video and…dead batteries.  I let it go, figured I’d get batteries later.  But then I put her on the rug and she got on her hands and knees and was really moving.  I thought, “holy crap, I need some video!”  I raced around the house looking for batteries.  I found one new one, so I stole another one from the playstation controller.  And I captured this:

Isn’t she awesome!  The video’s a little longer than usual but you have to watch enough to see her move. It’s hot here, so she has no clothes.  I can’t believe how big she is.  Seven months and three days, to be exact.  Well I have to go, Charlie’s picking up pieces of rug fuzz and trying to eat them.
